Dr. Matthew Goldschmidt is a board-certified cosmetic surgeon with a distinguished career marked by exceptional academic and professional achievements. He holds board certifications from two surgical boards: the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, specializing in body, breast, and facial surgery, and the Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Goldschmidt began his academic journey at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1992. He then pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Connecticut, graduating in 1996, followed by medical school at the same institution, completing his degree in 1999. During his fourth year of medical school, Dr. Goldschmidt had the unique opportunity to train with some of the world’s leading cosmetic surgeons, solidifying his passion for the field.

After two years of General Surgery training, Dr. Goldschmidt honed his expertise in maxillofacial surgery at the University of Connecticut, one of the nation’s premier programs. He further specialized through a rigorous fellowship in Full Body Cosmetic Surgery in Little Rock, Arkansas, under the mentorship of renowned surgeons Drs. Branman, Devlin, English, and Sloan. During this fellowship, he gained comprehensive training in procedures such as body contouring, liposuction, breast augmentation, facial cosmetic surgery, endoscopic surgery, and minimally invasive techniques. By the conclusion of his fellowship, Dr. Goldschmidt had performed over 1,000 cosmetic surgery procedures.

Now, with thousands of successful procedures to his name, Dr. Goldschmidt serves as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, demonstrating his dedication to advancing the field and mentoring the next generation of cosmetic surgeons. He has also shared his expertise through lectures at numerous national cosmetic surgery meetings.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Goldschmidt is the founder of Beautiful Faces Inc., a nationally registered non-profit organization devoted to providing medical and dental care to children in need. Under his leadership, the charity has funded and organized multiple international health missions to countries such as Colombia, Guatemala, and Cambodia, changing lives around the globe.
